Currently, I am working on an MPhil concerning the political and artistic complexities of widespread funding of the arts during FDR’s New Deal.
My work on this is part of a wider interest in the possibilities of political movements to utilise the arts as effective means of forming narratives and catalysing public ponderance.
I am also looking into contemporary deployments of such strategies, notably but not exclusively, the use of targeted adverts by Cambridge Analytica in recent democratic events.
if you know of anything (books, people, places) which may be of interest to me, I would love to hear more. Please send me an email →
Previously, I have worked on the Cambridge American Cemetery…
…and optimism and digital art, specifically the work of net artists Thomson & Craighead.
